The Influencer

It was a simple video. Just the influencer with her nephews enjoying a day at the aquarium. But unlike with other influencers, there was no hype attached to this video clip. It wasn’t shot on expensive cameras with professional lighting. The artists weren’t clothed in the latest trends. It was not packaged to target the masses who practically live on Instagram. It had none of the tags that people add to enhance the reach. It was a simple video without the efforts that normally go into producing an Instagram video. And yet, there it was.

It was, in effect a simple day, spent in the company of loved ones. Perhaps that simplicity was the beauty of it all. Perhaps we should bring back those simple things in life. The ones that bring a smile to your face. Perhaps we should take a leaf from this influencer’s book. Perhaps we should all be like Achu.
